What happens if I put too much oil in my car?

Too much oil can damage your engine. If you notice excess oil, the excess should be drained from the engine. Therefore, we recommend checking the dipstick regularly.

Problems caused by too much engine oil

1) Oil leak

2) The smell of burning engine oil

3) Smoke coming from the engine

4) Smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe

5) The engine makes strange noises.

What to do when you notice that the engine is full of oil

If you discover an oil overfill, turn off the engine in a safe location and then drain the excess oil from the engine. Using a suction pump, you can drain the excess oil from the cap access point or the dipstick tube. Or you can quickly release all the oil by unscrewing the drain plug or oil filter. It's best to check the dipstick regularly to see if the oil is at the correct level.
